Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile game Tallo: Stack Tower Blocks (formerly Box Stacker; "the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. We designed Tallo to collect as little personal data as possible.

1. Information stored on your device

The app stores game preferences and progress locally on your device: best scores, run history, coins, unlocked themes, daily reward progress, achievements, language, difficulty, and sound, music and vibration settings. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us, except as described below.

2. Game Center

Tallo uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, your scores and achievement progress are submitted to Apple and displayed under your Game Center player name. Game Center is operated by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center in your device settings at any time; the game remains fully playable without it.

3. Global leaderboard

To show a worldwide ranking, the app stores leaderboard entries in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). For this feature the app processes:

• Your Game Center display name, as shown to other players on the leaderboard.
• Your best scores, the game mode and difficulty they were achieved on, and the date.
• An anonymous player identifier issued by Firebase Authentication, used only to associate scores with your entry.

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any account credentials. The global leaderboard is only active when you are signed in to Game Center.

4. Advertising

Tallo is free to play and shows ads served by Google AdMob: banner ads on menu screens and after a round, interstitial ads between rounds, an app-open ad when you return to the game, and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for an in-game bonus (such as continuing a run or doubling your coins).

To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt), approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction and diagnostic data, in accordance with Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. You can also allow or deny tracking in your device settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. Analytics and crash reports

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to fix crashes. This includes events such as rounds started and finished, scores, settings changes, screens viewed, ad and purchase events, and technical crash data (device model, operating system version, app version). This data is not used to identify you personally and is not sold.

6. Tallo Premium subscriptions

Tallo Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) that removes all ads, gives you a free revive in every run and doubles the coins you earn. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple's StoreKit, and purchase events (such as the plan chosen) are recorded in Firebase Analytics as described above. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

7. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules an evening reminder on your device (for example about your daily reward, your streak or your best score), only on days you haven't played. These reminders are created on your device and are not sent through our servers.

If you use the global leaderboard, the app can also notify you when another player passes your score in the global top 50. For this, the app stores in Cloud Firestore, together with your anonymous player identifier: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token for your device, the app language, your time zone (so we never notify you at night) and whether notifications are turned on. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app under Settings → Notifications, which also stops these server notifications, or in your device settings.

8. Children's privacy

Tallo is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not ask for any personal information inside the app.

9. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored data is removed when you delete the app. To request deletion of your global leaderboard entry, contact us at the email below and include your Game Center display name. Game Center data can be managed through your Apple Account settings. Notification tokens are deleted when they are no longer valid. Analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months.

10. Third-party services

The app uses Apple Game Center, Apple StoreKit, Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform, and Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics and Crashlytics). These providers may process technical request data (such as IP address and device information) as part of delivering their services, in accordance with their own privacy policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
